Termite Control
Termite treatments should be conducted at least every 5 years or when a property has made additions and constructs on its foundation. Dead tree stumps and water damage are potential termite swarmer areas that can be exploited each spring.
The subterranean termite is the most common here in the DMV region. They usually require wood that has been moistened or wood rotted but can tunnel from another area outside of the property.
Termite control is needed if a property has suffered immense water damage.
Treatment for subterranean termites should be done by a certified professional. Your homes structure is nothing to play around with!
Drywood termites are least common but still hold a threat as they don’t require soft wood to consume, they simply want wood. This means that wood that is unaffected by rot can still be at risk for drywood termite infestation.
